What is a wireless "hot spot" or network?
A wireless hotspot is a Local Area Network (LAN) that replaces conventional wires and
cables with radio frequency (RF) connections. The coverage area depends on the
surrounding building structure and other environmental interferences. Wireless
networks provide the freedom to access the Internet, E-mail, or instant
messaging services anywhere within this area.

How long does the installation process take?
If you have an existing high-speed
Internet connection we can commit to having your network up-and-running within
2 weeks. If not, the process could
take 6 weeks or more. When you
choose a date to go live you should make it 2-3 months in advance. We build
your website, create a custom market plan, obtain the necessary high-speed
Internet connection, and make sure that you 're 100% satisfied with everything.

How many sites do you have in the U.S.?

WiFiRV roaming network, and the number continues to grow! WiFiRV is a subsidiary of WiFiLand, which has deployments everywhere
from Europe, Australia, Central & South America, Canada and the Middle
East.

How do customers get online?

wireless network card. They also need a valid credit card for billing.
To get online just open up your favorite web browser and select WiFiRV as the
wireless network of choice.

Are the credit card transactions secure?

Where can I purchase a wireless card?
Wi-Fi compliant cards are
available from most major manufacturers, such as: Lucent, Cisco, 3Com, Intel,
and Sony. They are also sold through our web store. Offline retailers include Best Buy, Circuit City, Office

What are some of the billing plans?
All charges for use of the service will be applied to the
credit card provided when the account is set-up. The frequency of the billing
cycle varies depending on the type of rate plan chosen.
- Monthly
Plans: On monthly subscription plans, your credit card will be billed the
designated flat rate at the time of signup. At the end of each monthly
billing cycle your account will automatically renew and your credit card
will be charged the flat rate plus any additional per-minute charges
incurred from the previous month.
- Daily
use Plans: On daily use plans, your credit card will be billed the
designated flat rate at the time of signup. Each daily session lasts
24-hours and you may log in as many times as needed without incurring any
additional charges.
- Per-Use
Plans: On per use plans, your credit card will be billed the designated
monthly rate plus any additional per-minute charges (if applicable) at the
end of each session.
Note: With Daily Use plans, each time you login in after
a 24-hour session has expired your credit card will be charged the designated
flat rate again and start a new 24-hour session.
With Per-Use plans, a new billing cycle begins each
time you login to use the service.

I 'm not the most computer literate. Should I have any concerns about having
my computer configured to run on your wireless network?
Don't fret! The
installation team does a site inspection and risk analysis first. We never leave your location until the
installation is complete, your computers, phones, printers, and technology
infrastructure operates with your absolute approval.

-
How far will customers be able to roam from the access
point?
The distance varies from as little as a half of a football
field up to a radius of 5 miles.
It really depends on your specific environment. Our engineers will work closely with
you to devise the best setup for maximum signal strength and availability.

What marketing materials are provided with my
installation?
When you sign up with us you 'll
receive our standard marketing materials, including: posters, hands outs and
some prepaid cards to help launch your WiFi amenity during its first month. The
prepaid cards are generally hourly, but daily and weekly are available. This
allows customers to get a feel for the quality of the service while giving us a
benchmark with which to test how many users your Internet connection can
actively support. We offer a variety of other promotional material options like
stand-up cards/tents, stickers, and whatever else you feel you need to get your
new amenity up-and-earning.

Should I be afraid of "war drivers" and what
the heck are they anyway?
Well, this is a tricky question. Fear is a relative term;
one person's data could be as important as an entire enterprise's. It is a valid concern, though. War driving is a term that comes from
the movie Wargames, where a hacker sets his computer to dial every possible
phone number after a 3-digit exchange (555-xxxx). This process came to be known as ÒWar dialing.Ó War driving, then, is the process of
driving around searching for unsecured wireless networks to map network
availability, or to steal Internet service. WiFiRV recommends
appropriate security options to our clients during the initial site
assessment. War drivers are generally
not a problem for our customers.

Will I have
to replace my computers and existing network that I have?
No way! You can rest assured that WiFiRV will deliver you a compatible solution that works
with your current operating systems and networking environment. Our WiFiRV
packages can be your first step into the Land of WiFi, or a compliment to your
already established technology foundation. Either way, our WiFi networks can be
easily configured to work along with wired networks or as a stand-alone system.
We often find that clients want us to deploy a hybrid blend of wired and
wireless solutions.
